Does using artificial nails affect nail health?

Artificial nails are generally safe. However, if the artificial nails are not properly placed, or become damaged, the nails can be more susceptible to infections. Go to a licensed salon to avoid problems with artificial nails. If a nail gets damaged, have it replaced or fix it promptly. Wear gloves while washing dishes, gardening, or doing other chores that might expose nails to damage, detergents, or dirt. Only get artificial nails if the nails below are healthty.
