What are eyelash growth abnormalities?

An eyelash growth abnormality is any condition that causes eyelashes to grow irregularly. Some conditions, like distichiasis, cause a second row of eyelashes to grow. Rothmund-Thomson syndrome is another condition which, along with other problems, causes slow growing or thin eyelashes. Misdirected eyelashes, another type of eyelash growth abnormality, is when eyelashes grow in odd directions, like into the eye.
