How do glasses treat presbyopia?

Presbyopia on its own can be corrected with simple reading glasses. The magnification of reading glasses corrects for the lens's inability to focus properly. These can be obtained over the counter or by prescription. If you want to try out over-the-counter glasses on your own, you should experiment with glasses at different levels of magnification. You should be able to comfortably read material at a little more than a foot away from your face.
