What are the side effects of estrogens?

The side effects of estrogens, female hormones, include cold symptoms, upset stomach, vomiting, gas, and diarrhea. Additional side effects of estrogens are:
  • Breast pain or tenderness
  • Heartburn
  • Constipation
  • Change in weight
  • Leg cramps
  • Nervousness
  • Depression
  • Dizziness
