How do medications treat stage 1 uterine cancer?

For stage 1 uterine cancer, your doctor will likely recommend a hysterectomy. At this early stage it is unlikely that you will need medication to treat the cancer. Medication is usually used in conjunction with a hysterectomy for more advanced cases of uterine cancer. However, there are a few exceptions. Women with stage 1 uterine cancer who still want to have children sometimes use hormonal medication instead of surgery, but these treatments are not as reliable in beating the cancer permanently.
