Can stage 3 uterine cancer be prevented?

There is no way to completely prevent uterine cancer but you can take steps to lower your risk. Women exposed to a high amount of estrogen are more likely to develop uterine cancer than others, so decrease your exposure to excess estrogen. This means eating well and staying in shape to maintain a healthy body weight. Taking birth control pills can help reduce your risk, too. If you are in menopause and taking estrogen replacement therapy, be sure you are getting enough progesterone as well to balance out the estrogen. If you have uterine cancer, treating the disease at stage 1 or 2 can prevent its progression to stage 3.
