You should be able to drive yourself home after hemisection dental surgery if the dental surgeon gives you only a local anesthetic. In that case, you'll get a shot in your cheek or gums but it won’t sedate you or make you tired. Just to be on the safe side, though, ask your dental surgeon before your appointment whether you'll be able to drive yourself home following the procedure.
