How is traveler's diarrhea treated?

Traveler's diarrhea symptoms are usually self-limited and will resolve on their own. Drinking plenty of fluids is important for dehydration. For those who have more than three bowel movements daily or severe symptoms, antibiotics therapy may be appropriate. Antidiarrheal medicines such as loperamide may also be used for those without fever or bloody diarrhea.
