If you find that your child always has diaper rash, she might be allergic to some chemical in that brand of diaper or wipe you're using, so it's worth trying others to see if they cause less of a reaction. You can't go wrong wiping with plain water and a soft paper towel. Or she may have a food sensitivity to, say, acidic foods, like tomatoes. (Remember, if you are breast-feeding, the tomatoes will be in your milk.) In any case, you want to change the diaper frequently and make sure she's dry before adding cream and closing the diaper; you can blow on her tush to dry it after using wipes. If bowel movements are predictable, leaving the diaper off for a few hours so the rash is in the open air can do wonders. This is especially easy if you have a backyard and waterproof blanket.
