What types of food should someone with cavities avoid?

People with cavities should avoid sticky foods that may stick to their teeth. Sugary foods and some carbohydrates should also be limited in the diet because sugar and bad bacteria in plaque create acid; causing cavities in the teeth. Besides avoiding certain foods, people with cavities should avoid snacking on sweet foods throughout the day.

If you have cavities it's a good idea to avoid very hard and very sticky foods. These foods can get stuck to the cavity filling. In addition, some sugary foods or extremely hot and cold foods may cause you sensitivity.
