answer

The maximum daily dosage of calcium carbonate for an adult is 7,500 milligrams per day when being used as a supplemental form of calcium. When being used as an antacid, the maximum daily dosage is 8,000 milligrams. However, calcium carbonate should only be used as a short-term solution for stomach upset. Do not use it for more than two weeks without checking with your doctor.
