Anemia

There are more than 400 different types of anemia, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough red blood cells or oxygen-carrying hemoglobin. Anemia may occur on its own or be associated with particular diseases and conditions, such as diabetes, cancer and kidney disease. The most common cause is a deficiency of iron. More serious types, such as aplastic anemia and pernicious anemia, are rare.
