Baked Halibut with Citrus Crust Recipe

Halibut is a lean source of protein packed with omega-3 fats, vitamin B12, B6 and potassium—nutrients every active person needs.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz plain bread crumbs
  • 3/4 tbsp dried lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp dried orange peel
  • 6 halibut steaks (8 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Preparation (Serves 6)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine bread crumbs, lemon peel and orange peel. Mix well.

Lightly coat each halibut fillet with vegetable oil. Dredge in bread crumb mixture, pressing gently.

Place fillets in a 13 x 9-inch pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and fish is firm and flakes easily.
