Rhinoplasty surgery is surgery to change the shape of the nose. This is done quite commonly. What a lot of patients want to know is,
how long is it going to take to recover from this surgery? In generally-- in general, what I tell patients is that for the first week
they're going to be pretty swollen and quite bruised, and their nose is going to be quite stuffy. The first three or four days is always
the hardest to recover from. However, this procedure is generally done as an outpatient procedure, and patients can go home
on the same day as surgery. So in general, it's really quite well tolerated. After about a week, once the swelling starts coming down,
patients tend to feel much, much better. I always tell patients that at two weeks, you're going to be sociable.
And what that means is that you'll be able to go out in public, and nobody's going to look at you like you just had surgery. What that really means is that about 50% of your swelling
will be down and most, if not all, of your bruising will be gone. So at about two weeks, you're really starting to feel normal again and starting
to look quite normal again. It's about this time that patients generally go back to work or school. However, that can be variable based on what you do.
