If you become pregnant and you do have fibroids, remember--
fibroids are like a piece of great real estate. It's about location, location, location, location.
There are lots of women that have fibroids, and they can become pregnant with no really real complications to the pregnancy.
Again, your physician will review where exactly that fibroid is located to see if it really
does affect the pregnancy. Your physician will send you for an ultrasound, and we will make sure of where the location is.
A lot of patients will come in pregnant and are very, very concerned about not only being pregnant,
but also having fibroids at the same time. I'm here to reassure you that lots of women-- and as a matter of fact, most women--
don't even know that they have fibroids until that first ultrasound. So rest assured, it usually does not
impede upon you getting pregnant or having the capability of taking that pregnancy to term.
