It you've lost weight, the last thing you want to do is to gain it back. So how do people who have lost weight, sometimes
a lot of weight, a hundred pounds or more, how do they keep it off? Well, researchers are very interested in this as well.
They find that these successful losers have a lot in common. So of all the habits of these successful losers,
I think the one that's the most critical is to nip small weight gains in the bud. You gain a pound or two, you can lose it.
Five pounds, hmm, a little tougher. And then it becomes a big struggle. Here are three simple steps to track your weight.
Weigh yourself twice a week, in the morning, after using the bathroom, wear the same light clothing,
or even maybe none at all. Write down your number. Now, of course, there are going to be natural fluctuations in weight.
But if your weight is up for at least two weeks, that's a real weight gain. Keep a food and exercise log.
Write down everything you eat, how many minutes you're exercising, and that way you can figure out what's going on and then spring into action.
I'm Janis Jibrin. And check out my other videos to find out how you can become a successful loser.
