When you look at a beet, the thing you notice the most is that bright, bright reddish color, and that color comes from something called betalains. This will not be on the test, but it's important. Because that color protects the beet. It's a very powerful antioxidant when you eat it.

Whether it's part of a salad, or you cook it up as a side dish or you even put little bit of it in a smoothie. It gets into your body and it's an anti oxidant for you. It protects yourselves as well, it comes to you as a beet. Of course they have other things as well, they've got fiber, they've got healthy complex carbohydrates, they don't have any cholesterol, but they gave some special cancer fighters that you want to make sure that you take advantage of.
