What Are Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL) Supplements?

Read Transcript

So DGL which stand for deglycyrrhizinated licorice, is actually a supplement you can take for heart burn, peptic ulcers, gastritis, and it is also something that actually helps to support the adrenals which people with adrenal fatigue will be very beneficial for that. So I like to use a lot of supplement that can help multiple medical issues.

So DGL is a good option for people with heart burn or indigestion take symptoms, or who also need a little bit of support for fatigue. For DGL, you want to make sure that you are taking a proportion at the beginning of using it, you shouldn't have any issues of blood pressure with deglycyrrhizinated licorice, the deglycyrrhizinated Licorice is what typically may cause blood pressure and deglycirize means that they take most of it out, so you should be fine with the use of DGL over long term but I still recommend that they check their blood pressure from the beginning for the first few weeks of using it to make sure that it stays normal which it should primarily because there's a little less regulation obviously with supplements and prescription drugs, so the amount of glycerine that's left in there, however minute, may differ a little bit from brand to brand.

For DGL you want to take tablets, each tablet is 380-400mg and you want to take one to two tablet before each meal.
