Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition -- but the pain is far from its only symptom. In this video, family medicine specialist Dr. Jennifer Caudle explains the other problems you may experience with this disease.
So the symptoms of fibromyalgia first include chronic wide spread pain, that's usually generalized throughout the body. It affects the muscles and the connective tissues, but in addition to this pain, patients often have other symptoms and these other symptoms can range from headache to insomnia, fatigue, you're waking up the next morning feeling unrefreshed, having anxiety or depression.
Some patients even have irritable bowel syndrome, headache there's many, many symptoms that patients can have that go along with the chronic pain.
