There are many ways to manage fibromyalgia pain using natural methods (sleep/diet/exercise) and also medications. Watch family medicine physician Jennifer Caudle, DO, explain the components of a comprehensive treatment plan for fibromyalgia pain.
Managing Fibromyalgia pain is so important, because remember, our goal is to get you to live the best life you can possibly live. There're many possible treatment options for pain, and they range from natural treatments to medication. Remember some of the natural treatments that you use are exercise, aerobic exercise, Tai Chi, Yoga, even water therapy. I have heard of patients using acupunture as a way to help with their pain symptoms.
Sometimes, therapy or counselling can be helpful, but don't forget that there are medications. There are medications that are FDA approved to help treat Fibromyalgia symptoms. So, this might be a good option for you as well. Make sure that you speak with your doctor about which options are right for you, and coming up with a comprehensive treatment plan to help treat your Fibromyalgia.
