Left Ventricular Assist Device also known as LVAD is a type of artificial heart. This artificial heart is connected to the left ventricular to the aorta. The pump will drain the blood from your left ventricular and propels it out to the aorta replacing at least part of the function of the left ventricle in supporting the systemic circle.
