Yes they can, when wearing high heel shoes, they put your flat food in a planet flex position increasing pressure on the ball of your foot, it throws off your center of gravity so this puts a lot of stress on your back, your knees, your ankle and your foot. High heels are especially bad in promoting arthritis because what they do they put a lot of pressure on the joints, the bones start to rub together and over time, arthritis develop.
