Migraine is the most common cause of recurring bad headache. It is often misdiagnosed for tension or sinus headache, explains Emily Rubenstein Engel, MD, associate director of Dalessio Headache Center Scripps Clinic.
It's the most common cause of recurring bad headache and approximately 20% of women have migraine and approximately 12%-15% of men have it. Unfortunately it's frequently misdiagnosed, patients with migraine are told that they have tension headache or sinus headache and the problem with that is that they're not properly treated and that leads to unnecessary suffering.
