We know from the HPV vaccine studies that Gardisil is effective for five years, and Cervarex is effective for 9 1/2 years. We do not know what the final endpoint is of either vaccine will wear off. But it's expected that they are note going to last through your entire lifetime and then if you get a good 10 years out of the vaccine efficacy you will have done well.

So knowing that you're going to have a duration of efficacy that's limited in some way, you may again want to think about when you want to customize giving the vaccine to your child. At what age is it going to be most effective and give her the most coverage.
