We can now prevent the development of diabetes. In the past we kind of thought well you have bad genes, your over weight your gonna go on and develop diabetes sorry it's a tough lot. Now we know that if people intervene with diet, life style, particularly weight management that you can prevent the development of diabetes, it's been done in Finland, in the US, in China, it's a universal truth that 5 or 10% of change in body weight can prevent diabetes.
