Are you always reaching for a midnight snack? Here are a few tips to ease your appetite after dark. First take a look at what you're eating during the day. You might not be getting enough calories or you might be loading up on empty calories. See what you're eating in terms of lean protein, fiber, and healthy fats.

Be sure to eat three moderate meals, and two protein and fiber rich snacks during the day. That should keep you from feeling so hungry when you're home at night. If late night munchies still hit, at a small lean protein snack like a turkey wrap or hard boiled egg. You you can also go for a healthy start like whole wheat toast with peanut butter or a small baked potato with a sprinkling of parmesan

These starchy foods encourage your body to produce sleep-inducing serotonin. So you'll be more than ready to snooze when you turn in for the night.
