Life Unscripted: Russell on a good day with COPD
A good day with COPD for Russell starts in the morning.
Transcript
I'm Russel [INAUDIBLE]. Long Beach, in California, having a bit of vacation time.
A good day with COPD, for me, starts when I wake up, whether I'm struggling to breathe more than usual
or whether I feel better. And a good day for me is being able to do
the things I like to do-- exercise, play with my grandchildren, get out and about in the community.
I like to play golf as well. So on a good day, if I can play golf, I'm a happy boy. Finished!
Yeah! Woo-hoo! We're happy. We're on holidays now. And we're still alive. I try and look after myself as best as I can,
as far as taking medications, exercising daily, eating the right foods. So if I'm doing that, I have a lot of good days in a month.
But, guys, I'm making an effort. I'm getting out of here with, obviously, compromised lungs. I think a lot of it comes from mindset.
Whether you're feeling up or down, try and have some things to look forward to, especially on those good days where
you're going to be more able to get out and take advantage of a beautiful day, if that's what it's like outside.
