For people who have carcinoma in situ, which is a very aggressive form of early cancer associated in the bladder, proper treatment with resection and BCG will lead to a 75% likelihood of being disease-free in five years. The treatment may not be as successful for people who have grade T1 -- early invasive -- grade 3 disease, but BCG is generally an effective therapy.
