People with thyroid disease who take thyroid (Armour Thyroid) should avoid any medication that contains salicylates, such as aspirin, choline magnesium trisalicylate, diflunisal (Dolobid), and choline salicylate (Arthropan). Also look carefully at the ingredient labels for non-prescription medicines for backache, such as Doan's pills; they often contain a form of salicylate called magnesium salicylate.
