While there are some sexually transmitted diseases that are permanent once you get them, chlamydia is not one of these. Chlamydia is certainly treatable and also very common.
To treat chlamydia, your doctor will prescribe you a course of antibiotics. Take ALL of the pills as prescribed. In addition, you should be tested for other sexually transmitted diseases.
Most importantly, make sure to practice safe sex after getting treated! This time you have a disease that is treatable. Next time you might not be so lucky.

1 AnswerUnless you and your sexual partner were both virgins to sexual activity and neither of you have EVER been outside of your relationship for sexual activity, you cannot know. Some STIs come from an exposure that happened years before. I have counseled married couples who have been faithful throughout the marriage but now one partner has an STI from a premarital exposure. It’s hard for the non-infected partner to believe that his or her partner is still faithful. A weak relationship will be seriously threatened by this event. Prevention is always easier than the cure plus all the fall-out that can happen.

1 AnswerDr. Mehmet Oz, MD , Cardiology (Cardiovascular Disease), answeredNighttime erections occur in the REM (rapid eye movement) phase of sleep, and REM sleep is more frequent just before waking up. During sleep, there’s increased blood flow to the area, and that’s what contributes to the frequency of nighttime erections. In fact, you’ll probably get erections every two or three hours at night, which is actually a form of exercise for your penis.
