Can disorganized schizophrenia be prevented?

Although you can't prevent disorganized schizophrenia from occurring, you may be able to prevent it from getting worse. The earlier you detect symptoms, the sooner you'll be able to enter a treatment plan that can help you avoid serious complications of the disorder. In addition, if you know about your disorder and you know what makes it worse, you can avoid these things or quickly begin treatment once you know a psychotic break is coming.
