How does Dimenhydrinate interact with other medications or foods?

Dimenhydrinate may interact with several medications and certain foods. Do not drink alcohol or take other sedative containing medications while taking Dimenhydrinate. If you have taken an MAOI within the past two weeks, or you are currently taking sodium oxybate (GHB), do not take Dimenhydrinate. Dimenhydrinate may also interact with topical medications, so be certain to carefully discuss all nonprescription and prescription medications, or any herbal supplements with your doctor before taking Dimenhydrinate
