What is the rate of incidence of prolactinoma?

Prolactinoma is not very common. Small pituitary tumors may be more common, but it's relatively rare to have prolactinoma tumors with symptoms. In general, prolactinoma is most common among people between the ages of 20 and 50, and it affects women much more often than men.
