Should I be taking progestin along with Evamist?

Typically, if a woman still has her uterus and is taking some form of estrogen, doctors will decide to also prescribe some form of progestin to go along with it. Estradiol, a form of estrogen, is found in Evamist. Estrogen can often increase the risk of developing certain cancers; taking progestin helps to lower these risks. However, taking some form of both estrogen and progestin may also have risks. Your doctor can determine if adding progestin to take with Evamist will be appropriate for you and your situation.
