Typically, if a woman still has her uterus and is taking some form of estrogen, doctors will decide to also prescribe some form of progestin to go along with it. Estradiol, a form of estrogen, is found in Evamist. Estrogen can often increase the risk of developing certain cancers; taking progestin helps to lower these risks.
