What are possible side effects of Vascepa?

A common side effect reported while on Vascepa (icosapent ethyl), a prescription fish oil treatment for high triglycerides, is joint pain. In one study, about 2% of people using the drug reported joint pain, compared with 1% of those taking placebo. Some users report mouth and throat pain. Be sure to alert your doctor if you experience any bothersome or persistent problems.
