What is Prosed?

Prosed (methenamine, salicylate, methylene blue, benzoic acid atropine, and hyoscyamine) is a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of urinary tract infections. It is a combination of a urinary antiseptic, urinary acidifier, analgesic, and anticholinergic. It helps decrease pain and inflammation by killing bacteria and also reduces muscle spasms of the bladder. This helps relieve painful urination.
