How do I use ciprofloxacin-dexamethasone ear drops?

Ciprofloxacin-dexamethasone eardrops are usually used twice daily (every 12 hours). It should be used exactly as directed by your doctor and pharmacist. Here are some general steps they may describe:

• Shake the bottle before using.
• Lie down on your back, then turn your head with the infected ear turned toward the ceiling. 
• Be careful to not touch the tip of the applicator with any part of your body (fingers, ear, hair).
• Squeeze the drops into your ear, exactly as many as your doctor prescribes. 
• Stay in that position for one minute.
• If your other ear is infected, repeat these steps.
