What is Solaraze?

Solaraze is the brand name for diclofenac sodium topical gel (3%), which contains the analgesic, or painkilling, drug diclofenac. Solaraze gel is prescribed to treat abnormal pre-cancerous growths on the skin called actinic keratoses, which may be caused by overexposure to sun. It is not understood how Solaraze works to treat actinic keratosis.
