Who should use manganese?

Manganese supplements are used by people with too little manganese in their bodies. People with osteoporosis (brittle bones) might find it useful in strengthening their bones. It is sometimes used to treat people with diabetes, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, or high cholesterol. Manganese may also treat minor inflammation, sprains, and strains.
