How effective are PCSK9 inhibitors?

PCSK9 inhibitors have been reported to lower LDL about 60% in people with familial hypercholesterolemia or cardiovascular disease. Most of these people were already taking a statin. It is not yet known if PCSK9 inhibitors reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death.
