What should I do if someone appears to be in hemorrhagic shock?

Hemorrhagic shock requires immediate medical attention. After you have called an ambulance or made arrangements to get the patient to treatment, there are things you can do to help. You should keep them warm, since they will have less blood circulating through their body and maintaining its internal temperature. The person should lie horizontally, to ease circulation. Put their feet up if possible, but do not change their position if you risk exacerbating their injury.
