Some people may be self-conscious of their smile if they are not happy with their smile. There are ways to fix this. Your dentist can offer tips to help improve your smile. This could be a crown to help the shape of a tooth or cover a dental implant, or tips for whitening your teeth. Brushing and flossing can help in keeping teeth looking nice. It's possible that with a little help from your dentist, soon you'll want to show off your smile!

Some people are afraid to smile because they aren’t happy with the appearance of their teeth. Perhaps their teeth aren’t straight, are stained, or are uneven in size, or they are missing some teeth. People who don’t feel good about their smile may not feel attractive or confident.

Fortunately there are many ways to improve a person’s smile. It’s important to brush teeth twice daily and floss each day. Seeing the dentist for preventive care every six months helps as well, with a dental hygienist giving a professional cleaning and the dentist evaluating any dental problems. Dentists offer cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening and veneers, as well as implants for missing teeth, all of which improve the appearance of the teeth and smile. Orthodontists can straighten teeth and minimize any gaps. Healthy teeth can mean a person isn't afraid to smile anymore!
