Genetic testing may be used in concierge medicine to create more personalized care. As an example, genetic testing could reveal someone is prone to develop type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and high blood presure. Doctors would be able to target the proper therapy from a diet and lifestyle perspective to mitigate the potential development into diabetes. This possibly will save on medications, testing and laboratory assessments by understanding what that individual may be predisposed to and how to address that more effectively. There, the health economic impact would be enormous.
