What are the side effects of dicyclomine?

The most common side effects of dicyclomine include: dizziness, nervousness, sleepiness, weakness, lightheadedness, dry mouth, blurred vision and nausea. See your doctor about these if they worry you or are persistent. If you experience allergic reactions, such as rash, swelling, wheezing or difficulty swallowing, contact your doctor. Medications that are similar to dicyclomine also have been known to suppress breast milk production and cause impotence, eye paralysis, rapid heartbeat, numbness, breathing difficulties to the point of suffocation and taste loss, although none of these side effects has ever been known to happen to someone taking dicyclomine. It is very important that you see your doctor about any unusual or unexpected side effects.
