What are organic chickens?

Organic chicken refers to how the chickens were raised.

Only antibiotic-free or growth hormone-free animals can be used to produce organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy foods. Organic chickens aren't healthier or more nutritious than conventionally raised chickens.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, MD

Considered the gold standard of labels, chickens marked organic are grown without antibiotics and while being raised, they must have access to the outdoors. It means they can’t be genetically modified, irradiated, or cloned.
