Are there side effects to medications that treat an essential tremor?

Many medicines have some side effects. The two most prescribed drugs for ET, propranolol and primidone, have side effects that you should discuss with your doctor. Primidone, for example, can make you feel tired and like you have the flu.  If you have diabetes, heart issues, or asthma, you should discuss this with your doctor before taking propranolol or other beta-blockers.
