Who should not take pancrelipase capsules?

If you are allergic to pancrelipase (amylase, lipase and protease), pork protein or any other ingredients found in this medication, you should not take it. If you are pregnant you should talk to your doctor before using pancrelipase, as it may harm a fetus. Nursing mothers should talk to their doctors as well, because pancrelipase enzymes may pass through breast milk. Those who suffer from gout, increased uric acid levels or kidney problems should talk their doctor before using pancrelipase. Pancreatic problems, blockages in the bowels or intestines or Crohn's disease may keep you from taking this medication.
