What are the side effects of oretic?

Some of the side effects of Oretic (hydrochlorothiazide) include nausea, stomach pain, fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice, a skin rash or blistering or peeling of your skin, numbness or tingly sensation, muscle pain or weakness, abnormal heartbeat, drowsiness, restlessness, dry mouth, and thirst. Less severe side effects include diarrhea, constipation, mild stomach pain, and blurred vision. Talk to your doctor about any side effects that worry you or won't go away. Call 911 for emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to Oretic, such as hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of your tongue, face, or throat.
