What is chia used for?

Chia seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids, protein, calcium, antioxidants and dietary fiber. They are generally used as part of a healthy diet, but more scientific study is needed before chia can be formally recommended for weight loss or heart health. If you have food allergies or are on medications for high blood pressure or blood thinners, you should talk to your physician before adding chia to your diet.
