What are the side effects of arginine injections?

Arginine injections can cause back pain, a warm feeling on the skin, numbness, restless legs, headaches, irritation and tissue death. These side effects occur in about three percent of people who are injected with arginine. Allergic reactions, causing anaphylaxis, also are possible and serious. Larger amounts of arginine can cause other problems, such as hypotension, but these are unlikely to result from a single diagnostic injection.
